Mission:‘Stowaway’*Status:* Deceased, killed by Havoc.Captain Stuving was a naval officer in the Brotherhood of Nod during the First Tiberium War. After joining Nod under circumstances that were, to say the least, unusual, he rose through the ranks to become one of the Brotherhood’s leading naval captains and was given command of a massive dropship used as a mobile military base.
A shipwrecked man recruited by the Brotherhood of Nod
Before joining the Brotherhood of Nod, Stuving set out on what was supposed to be a simple three-hour sea voyage. However, the expedition went awry: his ship ran aground and Stuving found himself stranded on a desert island.
He is eventually rescued by Nod and subsequently joins the Brotherhood of Nod. The available sources do not specify exactly how he progressed from shipwreck survivor to Officer, but Stuving proved himself sufficiently to be promoted to the rank of Captain and given an important command.
Captain of the Nod dropship
Stuving is given command of a gigantic Nod dropship. His second-in-command is Gilligan, who serves as first officer.
The vessel is much more than a simple transport ship: it constitutes a veritable mobile military base for the Brotherhood. In particular, it features a Submarine bay, a helicopter deck with repair and rearmament facilities, a medical laboratory, living quarters and various military installations. Its armament also includes missiles, anti-aircraft defences and torpedo tubes.
Havoc’s Infiltration
Stuving’s career comes to an end when Nick "Havoc" Parker secretly boards his ship.
After leaving an island controlled by Nod, Parker travels covertly in a Submarine that takes him to Stuving’s Dropship. The vessel is carrying, amongst others, three GDI prisoners.
Havoc is given several objectives: to free the prisoners, sabotage the ship and neutralise its key personnel. He gradually infiltrates the various sections of the Dropship, destroying or sabotaging its military equipment and engaging the Nod forces on board.
Stuving’s Death
Havoc first eliminates a large part of the crew and also kills Gilligan, Stuving’s second-in-command. He then eventually reaches the Captain himself.
Stuving attempts to resist the GDI Commando unit, but is killed by Parker. In the mission, Stuving is in possession of the red security card required for Havoc to progress through the ship.
After freeing the three prisoners, Parker leaves the ship aboard a Nod Submarine. The sabotage he carried out subsequently leads to the destruction and sinking of the Dropship, bringing Stuving’s command to a definitive end.
