Status: Unknown following the Firestorm Conflict.Ghost Stalker, also known as the Mutant Commando, is one of the Forgotten’s most formidable fighters. Mutated by Tiberium, he regularly serves alongside Umagaan and Tratos. Although he is wary of the GDI, he agrees to cooperate with its forces when their interests align against the Brotherhood of Nod.

A Forgotten Commando

Little is known about Ghost Stalker’s life prior to his mutation. He nevertheless became one of the Forgotten’s leading fighters and earned a reputation as an elite Soldier.

His mutation enables him, in particular, to benefit from the properties of Tiberium: like other mutated units, he can gradually regenerate his wounds when in contact with the crystal.

Ghost Stalker is, above all, a specialist in dangerous operations requiring heavy firepower. He uses a railgun that is particularly devastating against infantry and light vehicles, as well as C4 charges to destroy buildings.

During the Second Tiberium War, the Ghost Stalker is sent with Umagaan and a mutant hacker to rescue Tratos, who has been captured by the Brotherhood of Nod.

The leader of the Forgotten is being held in a Nod facility serving as a medical camp. Ghost Stalker takes part in the assault to breach the complex and free Tratos.

This operation already illustrates his role within The Forgotten: whenever Tratos or his people are directly threatened, Ghost Stalker is among the fighters sent to the front line.

Cooperation with the GDI

Despite his mistrust of the GDI, Ghost Stalker subsequently takes part in several joint operations against Nod.

In particular, he is involved in a mission to destroy Power Plants supplying a Chemical Missile facility. His heavy armament makes him a particularly effective ally against the forces protecting the Brotherhood’s installations.

He also plays an important role in the fight against Nod’s Banshee programme. After taking part in the reconnaissance of a prototype factory, he helps to bring about its complete destruction.

The Search for Umagaan

Towards the end of the war,Umagaan falls into the Hand of Nod.

Ghost Stalker manages to determine that she is being held in the Temple of Nod in Cairo, within Kane’s Pyramid. He passes this information on to Cdr. McNeil, enabling the GDI Commander to press his campaign right into the heart of Kane’s complex.

This intervention was his last known action during the Second Tiberium War.

The Firestorm Conflict

Ghost Stalker returns to active duty during the Firestorm Conflict, when the threat posed by C.A.B.A.L. upends the balance of power between Nod, the GDI and the mutants.

He is assigned a particularly important mission: to recover the second fragment of the Tacitus, then held by the Cultists, a group hostile to mutants.

Ghost Stalker is accompanied by a Juggernaut, the archaeologist Valdez and a Field Medic. He confronts the Cultists, eliminates their leader Mortimer and ultimately secures the fragment.

His importance is such that C.A.B.A.L. estimates that the operation’s chances of success would drop to just 10 per cent if Ghost Stalker were killed.

Abilities

Ghost Stalker is essentially an extremely powerful assault unit.

His railgun uses technology comparable to that of the Mammoth Mk. II and enables him to instantly eliminate most non-cybernetic infantry as well as light vehicles.

Against structures, it uses C4 charges capable of inflicting considerable damage. Their main drawback is that it must reach the building directly to plant them, exposing it to enemy defences.

Finally, his mutant nature provides an additional advantage: exposure to Tiberium allows him to gradually regenerate his health rather than poisoning him, as it would an ordinary human.

Personality

Ghost Stalker is a tough, independent fighter who is deeply committed to the Forgotten. His cooperation with the GDI stems more from necessity than from any genuine allegiance to the organisation.

In particular, he maintains close ties with Umagaan and is willing to work with Cdr. McNeil when it helps to protect mutants or fight Nod.
