Prince Kassad

Character: ...

Affiliation: Global Liberation Army (GLA)*Organisation:* Cobra Cell*Rank:* General*Specialism:* Stealth and covert warfare*Age:* 34 Prince Kassad is a GLA general originally from Tripoli, Libya, specialising in espionage, Camouflage and clandestine operations.

A charismatic tribal leader, he has built up a vast network of spies and assassins across North Africa, used for both political and criminal purposes.

Kassad is said to have received millions to organise assassinations, hijackings and other covert operations. Between 2008 and 2011, few terrorist acts carried out along the Mediterranean coast are believed to have taken place without his involvement or approval.

A particularly skilful administrator, he nevertheless manages to avoid ever being directly linked to the crimes committed by his organisation.

Within the GLA, Kassad takes charge of the Cobra unit and develops a military doctrine based entirely on stealth.

His Rebels and Pirates can operate discreetly, whilst his Tunnel Network, Stinger sites and even his buildings can be concealed using Camo Netting.

He also gains access to the GPS Scrambler at a very early stage, enabling him to render entire groups of units invisible and to set up Sleeper Ambushes, infiltrations and surprise attacks.

This specialisation comes at the expense of conventional firepower: in particular, Kassad has neither Scorpion Tanks nor Marauder Tanks, nor SCUD launchers.

Following the defeat of Dr Thrax, he capitalises on the power vacuum left at the head of the GLA and becomes one of the main contenders for control of the organisation.

However, refusing to share his technologies with the supporters of ‘Deathstrike’ Mohmar, Kassad becomes their enemy.

Forces loyal to Mohmar then attack his headquarters in Cairo, defeat him and, in particular, seize his GPS Scrambler and surprise attack technologies.

Prince Kassad’s fate following this defeat remains unknown, although he is generally considered to be presumed dead.

Kassad thus embodies the GLA’s most elusive doctrine: to strike from the shadows, vanish, and leave the enemy to fight an army they cannot see.
