Yuri's Army is a military organisation secretly created by Yuri during the Third World War. Originating from the Soviet Union Psychic Corps, it became an independent faction following the defeat of Alexis Romanov.

As Romanov’s adviser, Yuri was in fact the head of the Psychic Corps and supplied the Soviets with their key mind control technologies, used in particular during the invasion of the United States.

However, as the war began to turn in the Allies’ favour, Yuri began preparing his own plan for world conquest. Taking advantage of the fact that the two superpowers were busy fighting each other, he diverted a large part of the Psychic Corps and secretly built up his own army.

At the same time, his scientists develop technologies based on psychokinesis, cloning, genetic mutations, magnetism, biological weapons and lasers.

Yuri also has several Psychic Dominators built around the world, notably on Alcatraz Island, near the pyramids of Egypt and at his stronghold in Antarctica. Activating them is intended to place entire populations under his control.

A few days after the Soviet surrender, Yuri reveals his existence to the US President Michael Dugan and openly announces his intention to dominate the planet.

However, a US air strike damages the Reactor powering the Psychic Dominator on Alcatraz, allowing the surviving Allies to use Albert Einstein’s time machine to travel back to the start of the Soviet invasion.

This alteration to the past enables the Allies and the Soviets to confront Yuri before he completes his global network of Psychic Dominators.

Yuri's Army then becomes a third, independent power, fighting both of its former adversaries simultaneously. It establishes bases in many regions of the world and, in particular, attempts to control political leaders through cloning or psychic manipulation.

Its military doctrine focuses less on destroying the enemy and more on turning the enemy’s own forces against them. Yuri’s Clones, Psychic Towers and Masterminds can thus take control of enemy units.

His infantry also includes the Initiates, capable of using pyrokinesis, the gigantic Brutes created through genetic mutation, and the Viruses, snipers who employ deadly toxins.

His mechanised forces rely on Lasher and Gatling Tanks, Chaos Drones, Magnetrons and Masterminds, whilst Floating Discs provide him with a particularly unusual form of air power.

At sea, Yuri mainly relies on the Boomer, a Submarine capable of engaging ships but also of launching ballistic missiles at land-based positions.

His economy also reflects his complete lack of scruples: Slave Miners directly extract resources, whilst captured units can be sent to the Grinder to be turned into funds.

Finally, Yuri has two super-weapons at his disposal. The Genetic Mutator transforms infantry into Brutes, whilst the Psychic Dominator can simultaneously take control of several enemy units whilst damaging surrounding buildings.

Despite his power, his empire is gradually crumbling. The Allies and the Soviets destroy his facilities and his Psychic Dominators until they locate his last stronghold in Antarctica.

In the Allied timeline, Yuri is eventually captured and imprisoned in a cell specially designed to neutralise his psychic powers. The return of time to its altered course results, above all, in the disappearance of his empire: Yuri's Army is effectively erased from the new timeline.

Yuri's Army thus represents a faction very different from the Allies and the Soviets: a force that transforms human beings themselves into military resources, controlling minds, cloning its Soldiers, mutating its prisoners and turning enemy armies against their own Masterminds.
