An expert in stealth, he can move without being detected and scale cliffs, enabling him to bypass defences and infiltrate bases via routes that would normally be inaccessible.

Burton is equipped with a powerful OICW rifle, which is particularly effective against infantry, as well as a knife that allows him to silently eliminate enemy Soldiers without revealing his position.

His most formidable weapon, however, remains C4. He can plant time-delayed or remote-controlled charges on vehicles and buildings, then detonate them to rapidly destroy strategic targets.

Using his rifle or planting explosives temporarily reveals his presence, making discretion and the choice of his targets essential elements of his operations.

During the war against the GLA, Burton took part in numerous special missions on behalf of the United States and became one of the leading field agents working with the US command.

He also cooperated with Black Lotus during a joint Sino-American operation against a GLA research facility in the Rocky Mountains.

Despite his unique name and appearance, Burton may not represent a single man: rather, he symbolises the small US special forces units deployed in limited numbers on unconventional missions.

General Malcolm ‘Ace’ Granger can also deploy Burton by parachuting him directly behind enemy lines.

A variant equipped with a Laser Rifle had finally been considered for General Townes, but this version, nicknamed Laser Burton, was scrapped during the development of Zero Hour.

Capable of infiltrating a base, silently eliminating its defenders and blowing up its infrastructure, Burton perfectly embodies the doctrine of the Commando operating alone behind enemy lines.
