Raven

Character: ??

Name: Raven*Affiliation:* Global Defence Initiative (GDI)*Rank:* General*Role:* Commander*Subordinate / Liaison:* Colonel Louise James*Alignment:* Radical GDI supporter, fiercely opposed to Nod*Appearance:* Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight Mobile
Status: Unknown.General Raven is a GDI commander who appears in the campaign of the mobile version of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. An experienced, responsible and particularly uncompromising Soldier, he represents the most hardline faction within the GDI: for him, any cooperation with the Brotherhood of Nod is unacceptable.

GDI Commander

Raven holds the rank of General and serves as a field commander. His orders are relayed to Colonel Louise James, who then passes them on to the player-controlled commander.

His role therefore differs slightly from that of James: Raven is higher up in the chain of command, whilst she acts as an intermediary with the forces directly engaged on the ground.

A radical supporter of the GDI

Raven is characterised above all by his absolute loyalty to the GDI. He belongs to the organisation’s hardline faction and takes a very dim view of politicians interfering in military decisions.

This hostility becomes particularly pronounced when the question of cooperation with the Brotherhood of Nod arises. For Raven, forming an alliance with the Brotherhood of Nod is quite simply abominable. He would rather die than see politicians compromise the GDI by imposing such a policy.

His attitude is thus reminiscent of that of Louise James: both regard Nod as an enemy whom the GDI must never trust.

A character from the mobile version

Raven is exclusive to Tiberian Twilight Mobile. The character does not play the same role in the main PC version of Command & Conquer 4, which explains the very limited amount of biographical information available about him.

No details are given about his childhood, his career prior to the events of the game, his nationality or his subsequent fate.

Personality

Raven is described as a strong, responsible Soldier who is deeply loyal to the GDI. However, he has a very military view of the organisation and despises the influence exerted by politicians on its strategic decisions.

His opposition to Nod is therefore not merely tactical: it forms one of the cornerstones of his view of the GDI. For him, any alliance with the organisation’s historic enemy constitutes a betrayal of his principles.
