Actress: Emily Hampshire
Name: Lillian Parker*Affiliation:* Civilian*Spouse:* Commander Parker*Partner:* Dr Johann Pascal*Major event:* Incursion War*Appearance:* Command & Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight
Status: Deceased prior to the main events of 2077.Lillian Parker is Commander Parker’s wife. She plays an important role in his personal life, particularly following the serious injuries that caused him to lose his sight. She supports him during his recovery and is involved in the process leading to the fitting of his experimental optical implants.
Parker’s injury
When Parker is seriously injured whilst on duty and goes blind, Lillian goes through a period of profound emotional distress. Nevertheless, she remains by her husband’s side and helps him overcome this ordeal.
A solution emerges thanks to Dr Johann Pascal, who offers Parker a form of optical implant technology capable of restoring his sight. Lillian supports her husband during the operation and subsequently whilst he adapts to the implants. This experience brings her closer to Pascal, with whom she becomes friends.
The optical implants
Whilst Lillian supports Parker as he adapts, she is far less keen on certain capabilities offered by his new eyes.
In particular, the implants allow Parker to access video streams from all over the world directly. Lillian disapproves of this habit and finds it hard to bear seeing her husband constantly using this ability.
These implants subsequently take on considerable importance: utilising technology derived from the Tacitus, they constitute – unbeknownst to Parker – a key element of Kane’s plan to activate Threshold 19.
Her Death and Parker
Lillian dies before the main events of 2077. Parker is convinced that Nod is responsible for her death, which fuels his hatred of the Brotherhood of Nod and profoundly influences his decisions.
The truth, however, is different: Lillian was the victim of friendly fire from the GDI. Louise James knew the circumstances of her death but concealed them from Parker, believing that his hatred of Nod made him a more effective Commander.
This revelation proves decisive during the final confrontation at Threshold 19. Even after her death, Lillian thus remains one of Parker’s main personal motivations.
