Status: Non-canonical character from Generals 2
Pavel ‘Kitbash’ Adamek is a Polish engineer who became a General in the GLA, specialising in the modification and use of combat vehicles.
The son of the owner of a local chain of electronics shops in Gdańsk, Pavel spent a lonely and neglected childhood in his father’s warehouse.
Shy and deeply insecure, he nevertheless displayed an exceptional talent for electronics, which enabled him to secure a scholarship to a prestigious university in Zurich.
It was whilst at university that he met a mysterious figure known only as ‘The Operative’.
Naive and impressed by his new friend’s charisma, Adamek gradually allowed himself to be persuaded by his arguments and dropped out of university less than a year after they met.
He even went so far as to fake his own death before leaving Europe to join a GLA Boot Camp in North Africa.
This new life profoundly transformed his personality: once reserved and lacking in self-confidence, Pavel became much more self-assured and put his technical skills to use in the organisation’s arsenal.
Nicknamed ‘Kitbash’, he specialises in salvaging existing vehicles, which he modifies by hand, producing combat vehicles that are as original as they are unpredictable.
His tactics rely primarily on vehicles, notably Scorpion Tanks, Quad cannons and Black Market Artillery.
His most distinctive unit, however, is the EMP truck, capable of temporarily neutralising enemy vehicles and allowing his own forces to gain the upper hand.
His arsenal was also said to include Sandstorms, Technicals, infiltration vehicles and toxic helicopters, supported by various infantry units.
Adamek could also deploy a stealth field, adding an extra dimension to Sleeper Ambushes and the manoeuvres of his modified vehicles.
Pavel ‘Kitbash’ Adamek was thus intended to embody the GLA’s spirit of resourcefulness taken to the extreme: an Engineer capable of transforming ordinary equipment into an improvised, unpredictable and formidably effective arsenal.
