Status: Alive at the time of his last appearance.Dr Schuman is a research assistant and Technician employed by Nod as part of the ReGenesis project. A very minor character in Renegade, he works alongside Ignatio Mobius and Elena Petrova in the laboratory where the Black Hand is experimenting with the effects of Tiberium on humans.

Project ReGenesis

Schuman assists Ignatio Mobius and Elena Petrova with their research into ReGenesis. Unlike the programme’s senior leaders, he appears to fulfil primarily a technical and scientific role within the complex.

The situation escalates following the intervention of Nick ‘Havoc’ ’ Parker. The GDI Commando unit frees Mobius and eliminates General Gideon Raveshaw, whilst the Tiberium mutants within the facility turn on Nod. Schuman then finds himself caught in the middle of the uprising.

The Mutant Uprising

When the fighting breaks out, Schuman appears to be taking a break in the break room. Although wounded during the clashes, he manages to escape, but inadvertently leaves his security pass behind.

He then takes refuge in his office whilst the mutants slaughter several other Nod Technicians who have failed to reach safety. This escape allows him to survive the collapse of the laboratory’s security.

Encounter with Havoc and Mobius

Havoc and Mobius finally come across Schuman whilst making their way through the complex and eliminating the mutants.

Schuman is relieved to see that Mobius is still alive. As the two men need his security pass to continue their journey, he explains that he left it in the break room and tells them where to retrieve it.

He then remains behind in the Nod base. His fate following Havoc and Mobius’s evacuation is not specified.
