Affiliation: Asia-Pacific Alliance (APA) / China*Rank:* Three-star General*Specialism:* Rockets and heavy weaponry*Nickname:* ‘Red Arrow’
Status: Non-canon character from Generals 2 Dongmei is a Chinese general in the Asia-Pacific Alliance who specialises in the widespread use of rockets and missiles on the battlefield**.

Heir to an illustrious military tradition, she comes from a family that has served China for several generations.

Her father covered himself in glory during the war against the GLA, whilst her grandfather and great-grandfather had both played a part in defending the Chinese Revolution.

Determined to carry on this legacy and refusing to let her gender stand in the way of her career, Dongmei chose the military path at a very young age.

As a teenager, she spent four years as a Soldier on the border between China and Russia, in particularly harsh conditions.

In particular, she was tasked with transporting rockets destined for heavy weaponry platforms, a gruelling experience that played a direct part in shaping her future specialisation.

Believing she had more than proved herself in the ranks, Dongmei then joined an officer training programme, from which she graduated with honours.

She quickly rose through the ranks and distinguished herself as a serious, determined and particularly energetic Commander, whilst demonstrating a genuine affinity for heavy rocket artillery.

Having risen to the rank of three-star General in the APA, ‘Red Arrow’ naturally built her doctrine around saturating the battlefield with rockets.

Her forces were to include, in particular, squads of Rocket Soldiers, napalm Mortars, Warlord tanks, Medium Tanks, Mantis, Overlords and Firefly.

She could also deploy the heroic unit Yu Hyun Jung, whilst her bases were equipped with flamethrower turrets and rocket defences.

Her signature support ability, Thunderclap, complemented this doctrine, which was entirely focused on firepower.

Her nickname may also refer to the Chinese HJ-8, an anti-tank missile known as the ‘Red Arrow’.

Chang ‘Red Arrow’ Dongmei was thus intended to embody the APA’s rocket artillery: an heir to several generations of military personnel, who had deliberately started at the bottom of the ladder before becoming a specialist capable of overwhelming her opponents with a Missile Storm.
