Kanwar Khan

Kanwar Khan

Character: ??

Affiliation: Global Liberation Army (GLA)*Position:* Communications Officer / military adviser*Role:* Liaison with the GLA’s field Commander*Status:* Unknown Kanwar Khan is a GLA officer responsible for advising and briefing the general Commander of the organisation’s forces during the conflicts in Generals and Zero Hour.

He acts as the main intermediary between the GLA high command and the General played by the player, relaying intelligence, objectives and tactical information before and during operations.

During the first war against China and the United States, Khan thus accompanied the GLA’s advance from its initial offensives in Central Asia right through to the final assault on the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

In particular, he encourages the Commander to attack defenceless Chinese economic and civilian targets, then oversees the hijacking of United Nations humanitarian convoys to supply the GLA with resources and equipment.

When the United States seizes the GLA’s chemical weapons stockpiles near the Aral Sea, Khan also orders their recapture in order to preserve the organisation’s toxic arsenal.

He then intervenes when a dissident faction of the GLA joins China, demanding the destruction of the traitors and their new allies.

At Baikonur, Khan ultimately urges the Commander to seize the missiles at the cosmodrome in order to use them to unleash the GLA’s toxins against its enemies.

Following the defeat of Dr Thrax, he remains in the service of the GLA Commander whilst the organisation is being reorganised under the authority of ‘Deathstrike’ Mohmar.

Khan plays a key role in the internal conflict against Prince Kassad, revealing the latter’s stealth technologies before ordering their capture for the benefit of Mohmar’s forces.

He then accompanied the GLA’s further expansion into Europe, notably taking part in the final offensive against the US command in Stuttgart.

Unlike generals and front-line fighters, Kanwar Khan therefore operates largely behind the scenes: he is the voice of the GLA command, translating its strategic objectives into orders relayed directly to the general in the field.

His fate after the war remains unknown.
