Act I – Reunification

The Rio Uprising

Anger towards the GDI is mounting in the favelas of Rio. It would take next to nothing for the destitute to rise up.

It is up to you to provide that spark.

Demolish the buildings that symbolise the GDI’s authority and autocracy. Storm the radio stations and flood the airwaves with messages from the Prophet.

Incite the crowds to rebellion.

Rio will burn and Kane’s army will rise from the ashes.

What is rightfully ours

The Nod is back, but it is no match for the GDI’s cutting-edge technology. The Brotherhood’s archives were almost entirely destroyed after the Second Tiberium War, depriving Kane of several centuries’ worth of research.

Paradoxically, our friends at the GDI are offering us an unexpected alternative. A duplicate of our stealth database, of unknown origin, is currently being analysed at a secret GDI Tech Center on the Australian coast.

Reclaim what is rightfully ours.

Mission: Persuasion...

The Brotherhood continues to grow and prosper, but the Prophet cannot risk revealing his presence for fear of attracting the GDI’s attention.

We must find a figurehead to act as a front.

Kane, in his infinite wisdom, has decreed that Brother Marcion, the heretical renegade, is the ideal candidate. There is just one problem: the pious Marcion believes that Kane himself is a heretic.

Persuade him otherwise.

A symbolic gesture...

With Marcion back in the fold, the Nod is on the verge of resurrection. Now, Kane needs only a sign, a message, an act that will prove to the faithful that the Brotherhood of Nod has risen again.

In Australia, GDI Seekers are trying in vain to harness the all-powerful liquid Tiberium. If their experiments were to be disrupted, the consequences could be… catastrophic.

Soon, the whole world will witness the brutal rebirth of the Nod.

Act II – Kane’s Awakening

The Keys to the Kingdom

Whilst you slept, the Nod has grown and evolved, taking control of new yellow zones without attracting the enemy’s attention.

Meanwhile, the GDI has displayed its characteristic complacency and indolence. Its reliance on the Ion Cannon network makes it far more vulnerable than the Council realises.

It is time to act.

Let’s attack the GDI research complex in Johannesburg; there we’ll find the plans for this network… and the means to destroy it.

Operation Brilliance

The Prophet has his sights set on the Philadelphia space station… and on the Ion Cannon network it controls. Within a few days, Kane will destroy it and eliminate the GDI Council.

But one member of the Council must remain alive at all costs: Redmond Boyle, the GDI’s treasurer. It may seem paradoxical, but this incompetent politician plays a central role in Kane’s plan. If he survives, he may well become president of the GDI… and will inevitably fall into the trap set by the Prophet.

A team is set to infiltrate the GDI Treasury headquarters. Destroy it to force Boyle to remain on Earth.

The Doctor Has Disappeared

Dr Alphonse Giraud, who is leading research into liquid Tiberium for the GDI, is becoming increasingly troublesome. He must be dealt with before he warns that idiot Boyle, or Kane’s plans could be jeopardised.

Giraud’s lab is located in Blue Zone 8, within the Chilean base that was once used to maintain the Philadelphia.

The Prophet wants Giraud alive because he believes he can win the good doctor over to our cause.

Do not let him down.

VMBI

Nod’s central command has received worrying reports about the African Red Zone. ZOCOM, the GDI’s elite anti-Tiberium force, has launched a major operation there.

The most troubling thing is that ZOCOM has deployed a new weapon to combat crystal: the Armoured Mammoth Intervention Vehicle (VMBI).

This Mammoth/Harvester hybrid has already eliminated several of our patrols, and we have yet to find a way to counter it. Track down this VMBI, locate the ZOCOM base where it is stationed, and discover how it is constructed.

This will enable us to design a powerful replica.

Kilian Qatar’s Betrayal

Kilian has shown his true colours: the General is a heretic who wants to bring down Kane. According to Father Alexa, as the General is in the people’s good graces, they won’t simply take her word for it that she is a heretic.

We need proof. Which you will provide.

Kane’s forces are desperately defending the Prime Temple. Pose as Kilian and commit an unforgivable act of treason.

The world will soon know who she really is.

Heart and Mind

The cities located in the yellow zones are vital sources of support, sanctuaries teeming with Soldiers that Nod could deploy against the GDI. Without them, the Brotherhood of Nod would be nothing but an empty shell.

But a mysterious alien force has established itself on the outskirts of Kampala, in Uganda. It uses an insidious form of mind control to enslave the population.

Kane cannot tolerate such instability at this crucial juncture. Eliminate these creatures and regain control of the city.

Tacitus Interruptus

Thanks to your contribution, the Tacitus has finally been located. It is currently in mainland China, within a secure ZOCOM convoy. It is within our grasp, but there is…. an unforeseen complication.

It seems the Council intends to evacuate it by sea and, as you know, we are unable to thwart the GDI navy. We must capture the Tacitus first: hijack the convoy, seize the Tacitus and bring it back to Kane.

Act III – Resurrection

A Matter of Will

Nod’s generals are dead, its militias defeated. Kane has not been heard from since the incident at the Prime Temple. The whole world believes the Brotherhood is no more.

They are wrong.

From the depths of his underground Pillbox, Kane orders you, LEGIONS, to awaken the Marked of Kane. This cybernetic army will help you recover the Tacitus.

The Ascension is near.

The Conquest of the Tacitus

The Marked of Kane have been awakened, and the Tacitus will soon be in Kane’s hands.

We have tracked the artefact to the GDI’s fortified complex in the Rocky Mountains, where it is protected by an impenetrable energy shield. Attack this base, capture its Communications Centers and deactivate the shield. You will then be able to retrieve the Tacitus.

The ascent is imminent.
