Day after day, the ranks of the Empire of the Rising Sun swell with deeply devoted warriors, skilled both in marksmanship and in the ancient art of the sword. Whilst these front-line fighters are thoroughly impressive with their standard weapons, their greatest strength lies in their unwavering devotion to the nation’s ambitious goals. Like their Samurai ancestors, who received their orders from their lords, today’s Imperial Warriors fundamentally believe that fighting and dying for the Emperor is the greatest of honours.

Imperial Warriors are the Soldiers in the Empire of the Rising Sun who come closest to fanaticism. They are well-armed and trained to fight to the death.
Imperial Warriors are provided with excellent equipment to combat the enemy. Their standard uniforms provide a good balance of protection against small-arms fire and other hazards, whilst allowing the Soldier to move very quickly without any difficulty. This is very important as Imperial Warriors are expected to be capable of fighting both in close quarters and at a distance. Their primary weapon is a state-of-the-art carbine that fires superheated bullets, rather than conventional ones, which cause painful lacerations and burns to unarmoured targets. No cartridge cases are left on the ground, making these soldiers untraceable and reducing the weight of their equipment. These weapons are still little known, although in practice they appear to be at least as effective as any modern rifle.
Yet the most unlikely weapon in the Imperial Warriors’ arsenal must be their close-combat sabres, modelled on the traditional Japanese katana. Contrary to previous reports, these sabres are not ceremonial. Linked to the power supply of each warrior’s rifle, they can be ignited to become incredibly hot and, ultimately, sharper than any steel. Imperial Warriors are known to charge their enemies with these swords held high, killing any opponent within range with a single blow. Some believe that the sabre’s power supply provides its Carryall with the equivalent of a massive adrenaline rush (as if they needed any more than usual on the battlefield), Imperial Warriors with their sabres activated seem to move even faster than usual until the energy in their sabre dissipates and slowly recharges.

The code of bushido lives on amongst the ranks of the Imperial Warriors, who bring honour to their ancestors through their eagerness to fight for the Empire.
Whilst the population of the Empire of the Rising Sun pales in comparison to that of the Soviet Union and the Allied Nations, it appears that a significant proportion of Japan’s young male population has been conscripted into military service. More and more men have voluntarily enlisted in the Imperial Army. Between this and the Empire’s technological advantages, Imperial Warriors are at least on a par with the standard infantry of the other two major world powers. Although Imperial Warriors occupy the lowest rank in the military hierarchy of the Empire of the Rising Sun, it is nevertheless considered a great honour in Imperial society to be one of them, and those who survive battles (which is rare) are often promoted to higher positions involving greater responsibility.

Reconnaissance on the battlefield has at least revealed the following facts about the Imperial Warriors:
- Mass casualties– The national pride prevalent throughout the Empire of the Rising Sun leads many men to enlist in the ranks of the Imperial Warriors. The Imperial Warriors’ equipment is mass-produced and they are themselves willing to fight without pay, making them a cost-effective force.
-Kinetic rifle- The Imperial Warriors’ rifles are more powerful than most conventional firearms, but not powerful enough to inflict heavy damage on armoured targets. Their effective range is also limited, rendering them useless against enemy aircraft.
-The laser katana- The Imperial Warrior’s blade cannot remain activated indefinitely, but whilst active, it allows the warrior to deliver a swift, lethal blow to most enemy infantry units. However, the blade is useless against armoured vehicles and Garrisonable Structures.
-Besieged Garrisons - Imperial Warriors are trained to fight against opponents entrenched in Garrisonable Structures. They are known for storming Garrisonable Structures, killing any opponents inside even if it means dying in the process, thereby securing a strategic advantage for the Empire.
