Fan club

Page about the official Command & Conquer fan club launched by Virgin Interactive in France from 1997 to 1998.

To all combatants… The situation is grave: the war waged by the Brotherhood of Nod against the GDI Alliance is spreading across the whole of France.

Join the battle by becoming a member of the Command & Conquer™ Fan Club. On offer are plenty of activities and exclusive benefits:

  • A Trans-mission fanzine featuring all the latest Command & Conquer™ news will be sent to you every quarter;
  • Exclusive access to Warriors Paintball parties;
  • A special Fan Club web page giving you online access to all the latest news, updates, competitions and more;
  • A web portal (launching soon) with Westwood Studios, where you can ask the game’s creators any questions you like;
  • Discounts on products available in the Command & Conquer™ shop;
  • A Minitel service with a special access code available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, featuring a forum, news, classifieds, etc.

But also: the chance to take part in the annual staff meetings (summer and winter), all the launch events for the C&C range, the European competition to reward the best online players, and loads of other tournaments...

Membership card and welcome T-shirt

When joining the fan club (189 F, or 28.81 €, by card or cheque), you had to choose between the NOD or the GDI and would then receive a membership card valid for one year.

We do not have any images of an actual card, only (various) previews from the leaflets.

You also received a Command & Conquer™ Camouflage T-shirt:

image labelled as "for illustrative purposes only" in the various leaflets.

NOD and GDI Combatant’s Booklet

The NOD combatant’s kit appears to contain:

  • A combatant’s booklet (recreated based on photos sent by Dutch collector Wesley “Wes Ley” Boogmans). The full contents of the 6 sections can be viewed in the gallery:

We have no information on the contents of the GDI kit (Do you have any information?).
