Day 1:

In case you didn’t know, GamesCom 2018 opened its doors to the press today, and the new Command and Conquer: Rivals is, of course, there. Zéphyr, one of our administrators, went along to bring us some exclusive content!

Day 2:

The second day of scouting by our administrator and investigative reporter Zéphyr at GamesCom 2018. Today, he brings us some additional information.

The first piece of news concerns the possibility of training within the same clan; in other words, players from the same clan can compete against each other to develop strategies and tactics.

The second and final piece of news for the day – less exciting, but still worth mentioning – is that the French localisation has already been implemented in the current version of the game.

Day 3:

It’s the third day in the land of beer and currywurst for our reporter Zéphyr at Gamescom 2018 for CnC: Rivals! Today, he’s sent us two new updates!

The first piece of news is that CnC: Rivals is very likely to be released on iOS, although this hasn’t quite been confirmed yet due to the fairly strict regulations governing early access apps on Apple’s platform.

The second piece of news is quite interesting: our very own Zéphyr had a lengthy discussion with a representative from the EA Redwood development team in charge of CnC: Rivals regarding the organisation of a Community Summit. The representative, who was taken with the idea, agreed that such a gathering would be worthwhile and will discuss it with his team as soon as he returns from Gamescom with a view to potentially organising one.

Note: For those who don’t know what a “Community Summit” is, it is quite simply a traditional gathering of key figures from the Command and Conquer community (known as Community Leaders or Game Changers) at the development offices to discuss the project in detail, the direction the team is taking, and so on…and thereby reassure fans about the project.
