Official Patch
Patch 2.00– September 1997. The last patch actually released officially for Red Alert. Installed automatically by The Aftermath. Notably, it modifies production bonuses: if there are more than two production buildings of the same type, no additional speed bonus is granted.
A 3.03 beta version (known as the ‘4-player update’), dated 16 February 1999, did exist but was never officially released: reserved for a select group of testers, it was removed from Westwood’s servers shortly afterwards, before eventually being leaked by some testers. It is therefore not considered a fully-fledged official Patch.
