WAR HEROES
was the overall ranking of Red Alert players.
ALLIED FORCES
was the ranking for players who mainly used the Allies.
SOVIET FORCES
was the ranking for players who mainly used the Soviets.
Points were calculated after each match based on your previous ranking, whether you had won or lost, and whether you were playing against a player ranked higher or lower than you. You started with 0 points and could not go below 0.
The formula for calculating your rank was therefore: RN = RO + K(W - WE)
Where: RN is your new rank; RO is your previous rank; K is a constant (maximum points to be gained or lost (1 to 64) depending on the opponent’s rank relative to yours). W is the result (1 = win, 0 = loss).
WE is the expected score derived from the formula: WE = 1 / (10 ^ (DR / 400) + 1)
Where: DR is the ranking difference between the two players.
