AR vs Ants

Counterstrike gives you access to 4 special missions in which you must battle giant ants.

Mission No. 01:

We have lost contact with one of our outposts. Before the signal was lost, we received a report mentioning giant ants. We’re not sure what to make of it and would like you to investigate.

Explore the area, re-establish contact with the Outpost and report back to us on your findings. If the threat is real, we’ll send you reinforcements. Keep the base and radio communications operational. We don’t want to lose the Outpost again.

Mission No. 02:

Unbelievable! Giant ants! We’re glad you’re still alive, Commander. Now that you’re settled in and your VCM has arrived, it’s time to rescue the civilians in this area. There are two villages, located to the east and north-east. Head there and bring the villagers to the anti-gas facilities in the north-west-west. You’ll need to destroy all the bridges in the region to prevent the ants from overrunning you. Destroy the bridges and make sure you don’t lose any civilians.

We have pinpointed the ants’ command centre in this area. We believe the anthills are located in this region. They must be destroyed.

A team of civilian specialists is on its way to your base. Use them to destroy the ant nests with gas. Also, eliminate any ants you come across. Be careful – they can get past any obstacle by devouring it.

Mission No. 04:

We have discovered several tunnels beneath the destroyed base. Now that we have blocked the ants, they have nowhere left to go.

Go on, clear out all the tunnels and find the cause of this horror. Destroy anything that isn’t human!

As the power has been cut off in the tunnels, your visibility will be reduced. Find the generator to restore the power.

The Ants:

There are different types of ants: Explorers, Flamethrowers, Warriors, the Queen and larvae…

These ants inspired fans, who then created icons so they could be incorporated into the game...

Morse Code:

The Red Alert game manual features snippets of Morse code at the bottom of each page.

When translated and put together, these phrases tell a short story: the launch of Soviet missiles at Washington DC. Then the appearance of giant ants that decimate the Allied Forces.
