Mutants and civilians

Mutants and civilians

C&C 4: Tiberian Twilight

Units

Ironback

Designed for combat – hence its unattractive appearance – the Ironback can strike the ground to inflict damage on vehicles and infantry.

Mutant bus

This decommissioned bus, fitted with chainsaws, isn’t (too) worried about Land Mines thanks to its front-mounted bulge.

Visceroid

The visceroids were once human, until the day Tiberium transformed them into these misshapen, explosive creatures.

Tiberium Crystal Lifter

A civilian unit that delivers Tiberium Crystals to the battlefield.

Buildings

Forgotten Hovel

Capture this structure to produce Mutant units.

Tiberium Control Network Node

Thanks to ancient data contained in Tacitus, Kane has found a way to control the spread of Tiberium and harness it safely. But he needs the GDI’s resources to achieve his aims. Several years later, the Tiberium Control Network is almost complete. It is designed to operate via the Tiberium Control Network Nodes. These Nodes are therefore key strategic points for anyone wishing to acquire the wealth and power that Tiberium can provide. Capturing these points is essential to victory in Domination mode.

Artillery Turret

A long-range defence structure effective against all ground units.

Uplink Tower

If your Crawler is deactivated or destroyed in combat, you must redeploy it from a spawn point. Your starting location is your base spawn point, but you can capture the Uplink Towers scattered across the map. These will also act as spawn points and allow you to return to the battle more quickly. Spawn points are essential for collecting Tiberium, which is why it is advisable to advance across the map and capture several Uplink Towers.

Missile Silo

Air defence structure.

Refuelling Station

This structure provides Tiberium Cores.

Upgrades

Tiberium

Tiberium crystals sometimes appear on Idris’s landing pads. Send units to collect them, but bear in mind that carrying tiberium reduces your units’ speed and armour. Furthermore, all their special abilities are temporarily disabled, although they are still able to fire.
Green Tiberium grants 1 optimisation point, whilst blue Tiberium grants 2. Red Tiberium only appears in Campaign mode, and collecting it automatically grants 5 optimisation points (even if it is not transported to a deployment zone). Furthermore, collecting Tiberium earns you victory points in multiplayer.
• Right-click on the Tiberium after selecting a unit to collect it. To convert the collected Tiberium into optimisation points, you must transport it to a generation point under your control.
• Alternatively, you can choose to turn the unit carrying the Tiberium into a mobile bomb. To do this, simply direct it towards enemy troops and press X to detonate it, causing significant damage to the area. If the unit is destroyed before the explosion, the Tiberium is dropped and any active unit may then pick it up. You can also manually drop the Tiberium by pressing W.

Tiberium Cores

Tiberium cores are dropped when a unit is destroyed. Collect a Tiberium core by placing a unit on top of it. Collecting a green Tiberium core guarantees you an experience rank. Blue Tiberium Cores are only visible to Attack-class units and grant a special weapon upgrade to the units that collect them.
