Shiro’s Centre for Psychic Research

The Shiro Psychic Research Centre is a paramilitary organisation responsible for the Omega Programme, which aims to create ‘monsters’ with devastating psychic powers, such as Yuriko Omega and Izumi. It has also given rise to soldiers with less developed psychic powers, such as the Archer Virgins and the Rocket Angels, making it the source of a large part of the Empire of the Rising Sun’s armed forces. Thanks to the work of Dr Shinji Shimada, the Empire now possesses a weapon of mass destruction: the ‘Decimator Core’. However, the Omega programme required the use of countless human test subjects, most of whom were conscripted from orphanages or psychiatric asylums. It is likely that new weapons were designed at this centre, but were never produced and will no doubt remain lost forever following its destruction.
