Steel Talons

Steel Talons

C&C 3: Kane's Wrath

The Steel Talons are the nickname given to the GDI’s experimental division, founded after the Second Tiberian Dawn by General Joshua Mitchell, a veteran of the conflict who was dissatisfied that the GDI was diverting the bulk of its military research budget solely towards the reduction of Tiberium. Known for its use of mechanised walking robots – which the GDI had abandoned after the Second War for cost reasons – this division developed new versions of the Titan and the Wolverine, as well as an upgraded variant of the Juggernaut known as the Behemoth. Following a series of humiliating defeats at the hands of LEGION in Australia, the Steel Talons faded into obscurity, only to re-emerge during the Incursion War.

Units

Combat Engineer

When properly protected, the Combat Engineer is highly effective at neutralising enemy Engineers.

Titan

Slower but also more durable than the GDI’s standard Predator Tank, the Titan is a highly effective combat unit capable of crushing many enemy vehicles.

MRT

In addition to the basic functions of the VBT, the MRT no longer carries a machine gun but is capable of repairing nearby vehicles.

Heavy Harvester

Equipped with infantry garrisonable structures, the Heavy Harvester can respond to the most pressing threats.

Wolverine

The Wolverine is the perfect reconnaissance unit: fast enough to stay ahead of the main body of troops, whilst being equipped with armour and weaponry capable of dealing with even the most unexpected challenges.

Behemoth

The Behemoth, which can be modified, provides long-range Artillery support and is also garrisonable for infantry squadrons.

Upgrades

Adaptive armor (Tech Center)

The adaptive armor allows the units in question to enhance their defensive capabilities on the battlefield.
Units affected: Titan, Mammoth Tank.

Superweapons

Bloodhounds (Airfield)

Bloodhounds are reconnaissance and rapid-response units comprising Pitbulls and Wolverines, which can travel by air to any point on the battlefield.

Railgun Accelerator (Tech Center)

This support ability significantly improves the reload speed of vehicles equipped with EM cannons, but the Accelerator, once activated, causes damage to the units using it.
