Rifleman Squad
Ballistic squads are the backbone of all GDI military forces. They are capable of digging small foxholes to house two infantry units and hold a position.

C&C 3: Tiberium Wars
Ballistic squads are the backbone of all GDI military forces. They are capable of digging small foxholes to house two infantry units and hold a position.
Missile Squads are units that complement infantry, providing essential fire support against armoured vehicles and aircraft. However, their weapons make them slower and therefore more vulnerable to enemy fire.
Engineers can capture enemy structures, repair damaged structures and bridges, and ‘revive’ the wrecks of armoured vehicles such as the Juggernaut or the Avatar Warmech. Due to their vulnerability and reduced movement speed, it is recommended that they be provided with cover as soon as possible.
Grenadiers are the GDI’s close-quarters assault force. They are difficult to eliminate and can clear Garrisonable Structures of their garrisons by firing their guided grenades into them.
Sniper teams can take out most enemy infantry from long range with a single well-placed shot. Snipers are trained in reconnaissance techniques such as stealth and target acquisition for Artillery strikes.
Capable of surviving in the most hostile environments, Zone Troopers are highly mobile and very well protected. Their electromagnetic cannons are formidable against both vehicles and infantry.
With their prototype high-rate-of-fire assault rifles, the Commandos are unstoppable against enemy infantry. Equipped with explosives, they can demolish structures or armoured vehicles such as the Avatar Warmech.
The Pitbull is the GDI’s reconnaissance vehicle. Although its rockets can hit both air and ground targets, it is too lightly armoured to survive direct combat. Pitbulls can also detect Shadow Teams.
All GDI infantry rely on VBTs for movement through hostile territory. VBTs can engage aircraft, infantry and light vehicles. Their design allows infantry units to fire from inside them.
Equipped with a 150mm gun capable of easily penetrating enemy armour, the Predator has armour that allows it to withstand direct fire with ease. However, it is defenceless against infantry and aircraft.
GDI collectors can be recognised by the heavy machine gun mounted above their cab, which enables them to fend off anyone attempting to seize their precious cargo.
The Mobile Construction Vehicle (MCV) has been designed to provide a mobile base for the GDI at all times. MCVs can set up and dismantle Construction Yards.
The Semi is a heavy support vehicle that can be deployed as a Battle Base. It can provide considerable defensive capabilities with two built-in cannons, an anti-aircraft Scorpion Rocket launcher, a radar (capable of detecting stealth units) and automated Repair Drones.
The Mammoth Tank is a monstrous armoured unit, armed with two guns and rocket launchers, and protected by excellent armour. Despite its relative slowness, the Mammoth Tank is so imposing that it can crush smaller tanks beneath its tracks.
The Juggernaut is the GDI’s most powerful mobile Artillery platform. Fitted with three long-range cannons, these armoured vehicles can be used as siege weapons against enemy bases and can also carry out bombardments at the request of Sniper Teams.
The Orcas are effective in a wide range of situations: reconnaissance, support for ground operations and direct strikes on enemy installations. You can equip it to enhance its reconnaissance capabilities.
Firehawks can carry Hellcat bombs, which are formidable against all ground targets, or Cobra air-to-air missiles, which are unstoppable against aircraft. Once fitted with the stratofighter upgrade, Firehawks can teleport instantly to any point on the map (once per flight) to bypass enemy defences.
The Ox V35 is an airborne unit capable of transporting most of the GDI’s military forces to launch surprise attacks. However, they are not sufficiently armoured to venture deep into enemy territory for any length of time.
The Construction Yard is heavily armoured and can serve as a forward base. It can retreat into a VCM and provide valuable mobility, but you must protect it at all times. The Construction Yard provides radar capabilities to GDI bases.
The GDI Power Plants provide clean and efficient energy for all forward Battle Bases.
The GDI Tiberium Refinery is highly efficient at converting Tiberium into usable resources. Together with a harvester, the Tiberium Refinery is essential for funding the GDI’s war effort.
The GDI barracks is a self-contained recruitment and training centre. GDI infantry divisions are trained for combat quickly and efficiently at the barracks.
The GDI War Factory enables the construction of standard vehicles. It is equipped with automatic Repair drones that can automatically repair damaged vehicles in the vicinity.
The Command Center is an essential component of the GDI’s forward bases. This building can carry out radar scans of specific areas and is required to construct key structures.
The armory gives the GDI access to its best types of soldiers. Among other things, the armory provides power upgrades for Zone Troopers, as well as a medical unit to treat wounded infantry.
Airfields support the GDI’s ground operations in certain areas. Each airfield can accommodate up to four aviation units. Airfields can order Orca Strikes, deploy infantry and vehicles by airlift, and form reconnaissance strike squadrons.
The Tech Center provides the GDI’s forces with state-of-the-art military technology. Vehicles, tanks and aircraft can all be upgraded. The Tech Center also provides access to some of the GDI’s most powerful forces.
This autonomous launch platform enables the GDI to deploy its High Technology support weapons and send Zone Troopers onto the battlefield. You can also use Shockwave Artilery (an orbital EMP weapon).
The largest GDI bases use cranes to meet the most demanding construction schedules. A single crane is enough to halve the construction time for a GDI forward base.
These large structures have a wide field of view and a high rate of fire, as well as automatic anti-infantry machine guns to ensure the base’s security against all threats.
Guardian Cannons are fitted with an automatic weapon capable of penetrating tank armour, but they are less effective against infantry. This type of gun is often found in areas vulnerable to armoured attacks.
The GDI’s AA batteries are equipped with guns capable of taking out enemy aircraft with lethal efficiency. As the targeting systems and turret mechanisms cannot track ground targets, the AA batteries are therefore ineffective against infantry or tanks.
The Tiberium Silo is constructed from materials suitable for long-term storage. It is the ideal facility for storing Tiberium.
Sonic Emitters were originally developed to disperse ion swarms and process Tiberium. However, they have earned a reputation as powerful base defence units.
This organisation controls the latest version of the GDI’s most feared weapon, the Ion Cannon, which is capable of vaporising anything within the shockwave it generates.
The Surveyor can locate potential base sites and deploy to facilitate construction. This unit is very useful when placed near a Tiberium field.
Advanced Turbines provide power plants with greater power output as well as more efficient mechanisms for rapidly generating usable energy.
Composite Armor protects GDI infantry troops (ballistic, rocket launcher, Grenadier) from the most severe damage sustained during battles.
Power packs increase the armour’s strength and include sophisticated medical systems for treating Zone Troopers.
The GDI’s Sensor Pods enable the Orcas to accurately detect the enemy’s Shadow Teams.
Scanner Packs enable Zone Troopers to see further and detect stealthy enemies.
With this type of upgrade, the GDI Firehawks can teleport almost anywhere, bypassing most conventional anti-air defences.
Although the Pitbull was originally designed for reconnaissance missions and anti-aircraft strikes, the Mortars upgrade enables it to be converted into a light Artillery platform.
The magnetic acceleration technology used in the GDI’s weaponry offers far more advantages than conventional ballistic technologies. Its use brings about a radical improvement in firepower (Predator, Mammoth).
Paradrop soldiers stand ready to deploy at any moment to any visible point on the battlefield and provide reinforcements for your ground troops.
This support force is a powerful, targeted sensory scanning tool capable of instantly revealing enemy Shadow Teams within a predefined target area.
At any time, the Orcas can launch infrared-guided air-to-surface missiles at the target area of your choice.
Bloodhounds are reconnaissance and rapid-response units comprising Pitbulls and VBTs, which can be airlifted to any point on the battlefield.
GDI commanders can order Sharpshooter Teams to infiltrate behind enemy lines.
Zone Troopers have undergone specialist training in rapid descent techniques. With this support unit, they can plunge into the thick of battle with their powerful EM cannons.
Integrated into the nuclear warheads, the GDI’s sonic emission technology destroys everything in the path of its shock waves, whilst temporarily disabling buildings or mechanical units in the surrounding area.
GDI commanders can order an orbital battle station to launch a supercharged laser attack in a single, concentrated Ion Cannon strike. This supporting fire is capable of disintegrating enemy targets without damaging the surrounding environment.
