Hollywood’s biggest stars The cutscenes in the latest instalment of the famous franchise will feature some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

REDWOOD CITY, California, 18 October 2006 – Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today that the eagerly awaited Command & Conquer III: Tiberium Wars™ (C&C 3) will feature an impressive cast of big-name stars in its high-definition cutscenes filmed with real actors. You’ll recognise big names from well-known TV series such as ‘LOST’ and ‘Battlestar Galactica’, as well as actors who have starred in blockbuster films such as Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (1980, 1983), Top Gun (1986), Starship Troopers (1997) and Wedding Crashers (2005), as well as a former Miss USA winner. The eclectic and unprecedented cast includes Tricia Helfer, Josh Holloway, Michael Ironside, Billy Dee Williams, Grace Park, Ivana Bozilovic, Shauntay Hinton, and many more!

“ “The hallmark of the Command & Conquer (C&C) franchise has always been to deliver a compelling storyline accompanied by cutscenes blending professional actors with high-quality computer-generated imagery,” says Mike Verdu, Executive Producer. “I’m delighted to be able to bring the fascinating world and epic story of C&C 3 to life with an impressive cast and outstanding special effects. I can’t wait to give players the chance to see the result. All these talented actors have brought incredible depth and an extraordinary dimension to the C&C 3 gaming experience.”

“When I realised I wasn’t just going to be a computer-generated character, but that I’d be delivering a real acting performance in C&C 3, I became very eager to see the final result,” explains Tricia Helfer, best known for her role in the science-fiction series ‘Battlestar Galactica’. “I’ve only just finished filming the scenes I’m in, and I can tell you it’s one of the most fun projects I’ve ever been involved in… and my costumes were gorgeous. ”

“I haven’t had this much fun since Star Wars!” says the famous actor Billy Dee Williams from the set of C&C 3. “The game’s storyline and its universe are fascinating and immediately drew me in. I was really intrigued by my character, GDI Director Redmond Boyle, because he had far more depth than I’d expected from a video game character. His image as a put-together character gradually cracks as the world descends into chaos. He eventually reveals his true nature under extreme pressure. ”

But that’s not all! C&C 3 also enlisted well-known journalists to play the roles they know best: that of presenter or field reporter, to relay the latest news about the Third Tiberium War. These roles are played by John Huck, a presenter for FOX in Las Vegas, and Shanon Cook, a freelance reporter for a major news channel. Every day, these journalists devote some of their precious time to informing the whole world about developments in the devastating war and the environmental disasters unfolding within the game.

The icing on the cake is that Joe Kucan, the actor who played Kane in all previous instalments of the series, reprises his famous role as NOD’s eccentric leader in C&C 3.

Currently in development at EALA, C&C 3 is set to be released in 2007 on all PCs in North America and Europe. This product has not yet received an ESRB, PEGI or USK rating. For further information, visit www.CommandAndConquer.EA.com (website in English).

EA organises the first large-scale C&C tournament

The Tiberium Wars set to erupt in France

To mark the release of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars™, Electronic Arts and Games Fed are joining forces to rewrite our country’s history!

The Tiberium Wars divide France into two territories, each led by the two major historical factions from the Command & Conquer saga. Whilst the south is controlled by NOD, the north is in the hands of the GDI.

Each of the two territories is divided into 19 provinces, each represented by a HQ modelled on a networked gaming centre. ‘Commanders’ will be appointed by each centre according to its own rules. They will fight for their province and their faction. The centres will thus battle it out untilone of the two factions, NOD or GDI, has completely conquered France.

The rules for taking part are available on the website www.guerresdutiberium.fr, dedicated to the event. There, you can follow the progress of the conflict in real time.

This operation, which begins on 20 April, is the culmination of a propaganda campaign between the two factions that has been underway for several weeks. Psychological warfare is in full swing!
