HALL OF CHAMPIONS
was the overall ranking of players in Tiberian Sun.
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
was the ranking for players who predominantly used the GDI.
HEROES OF THE BROTHERHOOD
was the ranking for players who mainly used Nod.
Points were calculated after each match based on your previous ranking, whether you had won or lost, and whether you were playing against a player ranked higher or lower than you. You started with 0 points and could not have fewer than 0.
The formula for calculating your rank was therefore: RN = RO + K(W - WE)
Where: RN is your new rank; RO is your previous rank; K is a constant (maximum points to be gained or lost (1 to 64) depending on the opponent’s ranking relative to yours). W is the result (1 = win, 0 = loss).
WE is the expected score derived from the formula: WE = 1 / (10 ^ (DR / 400) + 1)
Where: DR is the ranking difference between the two players.
