The European Continental Alliance (ECA)

The European Continental Alliance (ECA), or in French the Alliance Continental Européenne (ACE), is a federation of European states that have pooled their resources and armed forces under a single banner.

Following tensions within the EU in the 2020s; but above all following the GLA’s invasion of Germany in 2028, Europe lost its economic heart and the support of American forces, who were then retreating to the United States, leaving the GLA victorious and at the height of its power. But just when all hope seemed lost, the PRC (People’s Republic of China) arrived and drove out the occupying forces once and for all, bringing an end to what came to be known as ‘Zero Hour’.

Determined never again to see their borders violated, the ECA established a robust defence doctrine (still in force today) under the guise of the Solaris programme, which enabled full and affordable energy self-sufficiency but was also converted into a weapon, as demonstrated by the Wotan heavy mobile anti-aircraft system, or the Solaris Relay, a directed-energy orbital weapon powered by solar energy. But the most impressive of the European research programmes are the top-secret Manticore/Pandora and Venom Protocols, which will make any foreigner regret ever setting foot in Europe.
