Rise of the Reds adds the Russian and European factions to the game. Russia has the most powerful tanks and the cheapest infantry in the game. Europe focuses on defence and Artillery, with a selection of exotic weapons.
The original factions have also been revamped. A wide range of new units and gameplay mechanics have been added. From the Chinese Hopper micro-tank to the GLA mercenaries, not to mention a wide selection of American drones, there’s something for everyone.
Some ideas dropped from the base game have also been revived, such as taking prisoners. Others have been improved, such as the GLA’s recycling system, which now allows players to steal enemy technologies
The mod is currently under active development, and the next version (1.9) will introduce a new AI, numerous new units, as well as extensive work on visual and sound effects.
