The Game Units

C&C: Sole Survivor Online

Units

Minigunner

The minigunner is equipped with a 5.56mm GAU-3 “Eliminator” machine gun. This unit can be extremely deadly if it manages to take an enemy by surprise, thanks to its very powerful weapon. However, it can be easily taken out by Mini-Guns with a longer range than its own.

Grenadier

The Grenadier throws highly explosive grenades at his enemies. This unit can be a formidable threat even against vehicles if he manages to take them by surprise with his powerful grenades. However, he can still be killed easily with a machine gun.

Rocket Soldier

The rocket soldier is armed with a bazooka and mini TOW rockets. He is very slow and isn’t really a good choice.

Chem Warrior

The Chemical Warrior unleashes a short-range toxic cloud of Tiberium onto his enemies. It can be extremely deadly if he releases the gas onto a stationary target.

Flamethrower Infantry

The flamethrower is equipped with… a flamethrower. It’s relatively fast, but it’s not as effective as the Chemical Warrior.

Commando

The commando is equipped with a sniper rifle (5mm Raptor) and C4 charges. C4 destroys structures in a single blast, whilst the sniper rifle can kill an enemy unit with a single shot (depending on each unit’s attributes). It is rather slow, which means it is not a good flag carrier, but its weapons are very effective at recapturing the flag from the enemy.

Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC)

The APC is fitted with an M-60 machine gun, just like the Humvee, with the difference that it is far more robust than the Humvee, though it is, in turn, slower.

Humvee

The Humvee is fitted with an M-60 machine gun. It is one of the most commonly used units, so you’re sure to come across at least one during a game.

Nod Buggy

The Nod Buggy is fitted with an M-60 machine gun. It is slightly smaller, faster but less robust than the Humvee. This vehicle is often used to carry the flag.

Recon Bike

The Racon bike uses "Dragon" TOW missiles against enemies. It is the fastest vehicle for capturing the flag.

Light Tank

The light tank is armed with 75mm shells. It is relatively fast and also quite sturdy. It is the ideal unit for basic attacks as well as for providing support to less heavily armed and faster units.

Medium Tank

This unit is slower than the light tank, but its attacks deal more damage thanks to its 105mm shells, and it also has much greater durability. It is very useful as a complement to the light tank.

Mammoth Tank

The Mammoth Tank is the largest of the tanks, with its twin 102mm guns and side-mounted Scorpion Rocket launchers. It is extremely powerful and very sturdy, but as a result it is very slow.

Flame Tank

Burn everything to the ground with its two flamethrowers! The Flame Tank is the ideal unit for flag defence. However, its slow speed makes it difficult for it to catch up with the chemical warriors. Another drawback of this unit is that it isn’t very durable.

Stealth Tank

Using ‘Lazarus’ shield technology, it can become invisible to the enemy. However, it must deactivate this protection in order to fire, which leaves it highly vulnerable for that brief moment. It excels at rapid attacks and is armed with ‘Dragon’ TOW missiles. Its low durability means it is not suited to head-on combat.

Mobile Artillery

Mobile artillery can inflict damage on distant units using 155mm shells. However, its light armour means it is easily destroyed.

Mobile Rocket Launch System (MRLS)

The MLRS, for its part, fires 227mm missiles at relatively distant targets. It is, so to speak, like mobile artillery, but with even weaker armour.

Surface-to-Surface Missile Launcher

Thanks to these ‘John’ missiles, this unit has a longer range than any other on the battlefield, but its very light armour makes it an easy target.

Visceroid

The Visceroid is not a dinosaur, but is nonetheless part of this category of units. The Visceroid is a creature formed as a result of overexposure to Tiberium. Its primary weapon is an extremely corrosive acid, similar to that of the Chemical Warrior. It is slow but incredibly effective.

Velociraptor

Its high speed and durability make it the unit of choice when a chemical warrior is unable to capture the flag because it is being protected by a Commando, a flame tank or Minigunners.

Stegosaurus

Its high speed and durability make it the unit of choice when a chemical warrior is unable to capture the flag because it is being protected by a Commando, a flame tank or Mini-Guns.

Triceratops

The Triceratops is slightly faster than the Stegosaurus, but is slightly less durable. This unit is also used primarily for base destruction. It is probably the second most commonly used dinosaur after the Velociraptor.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

The T-Rex is of the same type as the Stegosaurus or the Triceratops, but is faster. It is rarely used.
