C&C (2013) / Generals 2

Command & Conquer (2013) : Generals 2 (annulé)

Game Overview

Announced at the 2011 VGAs as Generals 2, powered by the Frostbite 2 engine, the project became ‘Command & Conquer’ in 2012 – a free-to-play RTS that would eventually bring together all the universes in the series. Following a closed alpha that received very critical feedback, with the community rejecting the business model, EA cancelled the game on 29 October 2013 and closed the Victory Games studio.

Originally announced as “Generals 2”, Command & Conquer 2013 was intended to be a new free-to-play RTS for PC set in the Command & Conquer Generals universe. It was developed by Victory Games between mid-2010 and November 2013. It was cancelled on 29 October 2013 after several months of private alpha testing. It used the “Frostbite™ 3” graphics engine.

Universe & Lore

In the near future, world leaders are just seconds away from signing a global treaty and thus bringing an end to war as we know it, when a devastating terrorist attack wreaks havoc and destroys the peace conference, killing all those present.

In a world where there are no longer any politicians, diplomats or activists, only the Generals remain: it is up to them to command their forces and put an end to global terrorism once and for all.
