Vietnam: Glory Obscured is, as its name suggests, based on the Vietnam War. Its gameplay is completely innovative, offering a more realistic experience in which infantry play a key role. The original factions have been replaced by the USA and the North Vietnamese forces (NVA).
The two factions operate very differently, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The US has air superiority, but on the ground, the NVA infantry is very difficult to flush out. In addition to the factions, the overall gameplay has also been revamped. Resources are tied to civilian structures. Secure them, and you’ll have a steady income. But make the mistake of attacking them… and the consequences will be dire.
Just like its cousin Cold War Crisis, Vietnam Glory Obscured is quite a challenging game to play. The creator has uploaded a whole series of videos explaining all the aspects and specific features of the game and each faction. Definitely an original mod, and a classic of the genre.
